Feature of High Speed Cartesian Robot CT4

Features 1 Add Pick & Rotary spec.

Pick & rotary specification with a rotation gripper mechanism is added into a popular CT4 series and provides excellent high speed performance.
This corresponds to a material that has a difficulty of air suction pick up or shaped parts by using a mechanism of rotation gripper specialized in high speed transfer for a light weight part. It can be used in various application.

[Feature of Pick & Rotary spec]
  • ● Rotation gripper is one piece unit.
    The shaft of the grip and rotation is one piece and the device is compact, light weight and high speed.
  • ● Unique gripper mechanism.
    Using spring when hold, and using solenoid when release.
  • ● Floating of gripper and turning mechanism (Patetent Applied for).
    This can protect the cable from damage due to the wiring for gripper mechanism being twisted during rotation.

Features 2 Available in rotation shaft spec.

The addition of ultra small rotating axis has been set at the tip of vertical axis. The further expansion of application is to be able to move while changing the orientation of transported object and achieve alignment.

Features 3 High speed and high acceleration/deceleration.

Reduces the device cycle time by having its maximum speed to be 2,500mm/s, and its maximum acceleration to be 3.2G.

The standard cycle time (Noted) reduce 32% compared to the current orthogonal robot.

(Note) Standard cycle time is a round trip operation time of up down motion of 25mm, horizontal motion of 200mm and rotation 180 degree per the picture on the right.

Features 4 High efficiency operation range.

A wide range of movement which covers 400mm(X-Axis) x 300mm(Y-Axis) is ensured. Comparing to the structure of a robot like multiple joint robot or parallel-link robot, the moving range is circular, the square moving range is more efficient and has no wasted space.


Features 5 Higher rigidity, easier to install

CT4 has a high rigid frame that provide a large loading capacity and ability to suppress vibration. Yet, parallel-link robot requires a special table setting for mounting to the top of a normal work, but it is easier for CT4 to deal with the height of work.
